Squeak · Updated September 14, 2026

Squeak saves your game and creations on your device. There is no developer account, advertising, tracking or third-party analytics in the app. Apple handles purchases. Scores and creation records stay on your device.

Information on your device

Squeak stores your progress, scores, creation records, earned items, settings, kept creations, displays and album progress locally. Purchase access and transaction references are stored to deliver purchases and prevent duplicate rewards. Squeak does not upload this save data to a developer-operated server.

The developer cannot recover your local progress if you lose it. Your device backups may include app data, depending on your Apple settings. Deleting the app can remove its local data.

Studio backups and sharing

You can export or import a Studio backup in Settings. It contains your kept creations, display layouts and names, album history and earned Studio items. It does not contain your Apple Account credentials or provide paid ownership by itself. A Studio backup is separate from your Journey progress and is not a complete game backup.

There is no automatic cross-device Studio sync. If you save a backup to iCloud Drive or another file provider, that provider handles the file under its own terms. You choose where to save it.

Sharing a creation or display opens Apple's sharing controls. Squeak shares the image only when you choose a destination. The service or person you choose may retain it under their own terms. Squeak has no public player feed, chat or messaging service.

Purchases and memberships

Optional purchases are processed by Apple. Squeak uses verified transaction information to deliver and restore eligible purchases. The app does not receive your payment card number, billing address or Apple Account password.

Studio Club is an optional auto-renewing subscription. You can manage or cancel it through your Apple Account subscriptions. Separately purchased permanent items and finishes earned in play are distinct from membership access. Restoring purchases does not restore your local artwork or album progress.

Apple's services operate under Apple's Privacy Policy.

Advertising, analytics and permissions

Squeak does not include advertising networks, third-party analytics or tracking software, and does not sell app data or share it with data brokers. It does not request contacts, location, camera, microphone or advertising-identifier access.

Apple may make purchase reports and optional crash or usage diagnostics available to developers under its own services and your device settings. Squeak contains no separate developer-operated analytics or crash-upload service.

Support messages

If you email ericminteractive@gmail.com, the developer receives your email address and whatever information you choose to include. That information is used to respond and investigate the issue. Do not include information you do not want to share. You can use the same address to request deletion of your support correspondence.

Support email is handled through Google's email service. This website is hosted by GitHub Pages, which may process ordinary web request information such as an IP address to serve and protect the site. These pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising, forms or tracking cookies added by Squeak.

Children and families

The app does not ask players for their name, age, email address or contact details, and gameplay does not require an account with the developer. Apple provides purchase restrictions and Ask to Buy controls through its family settings. A parent or guardian can contact the support address about a child's use or any information sent in a support message.
